  • The MCT oils in our formula bypass fat digestion process in the gastrointestinal tract. This means that people who are unable to digest regular fats can digest MCT without difficulty.
  • Supports several dietary preferences and requirements including those who require gluten and soy free, those who are lactose sensitive (less than 2 grams of lactose per serving) and those with diabetes (it has how added sugar and a low glycemic index).

Tube feeding

  • Reason has been carefully engineered to meet requirements for tube feeds which include viscosity, osmolality, nutrient value and free flow through the feed tube without creating blockage.
  • Reason even works with smaller diameters such as 6.5 French feeding tubes.

Nutrient supplement required

  • Reason beverage is an incomplete formula as it does not contain all the minerals and vitamins. This is done intentionally so that your dietitian/ nutrition advisor can precisely calculate and supplement those nutrients as needed.

Hang time

  • Based on the ASPEN guidelines, Reason meets the criteria for an 8-hour hang time in the inpatient setting. In the home setting, Reason meets the criteria for a 12-hour hang time.

  • Our Nutrition Beverage contains: Water, Maltodextrin, Milk Protein Concentrate, Tapioca Syrup, Safflower Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil. Contains 2% or less of the following: Cane Sugar, Cocoa (Processed with Alkali), Soy Lecithin (an Emulsifier), Natural Flavors, Stabilizer Blend (Sodium Citrate, Disodium Phosphate, Trisodium Phosphate), Salt, Gellan Gum, Vitamin Blend.
